Fun Day for FADS

Our little gang representing FADS had a great afternoon at the Fintry Fun Day yesterday. Ellen definitely ran away with the 'best dressed' award, looking very much the part of a suffragette, with the rest of us sporting 'Votes for Women' sashes and one more suffrage bonnet. A photographer from the Stirling Observer snapped the four of us and said we should be in the paper next Friday, hurrah!

On the sash front, here's an interesting Suffragette Fact.... None of us knew why the colours green, white and violet were chosen, so I consulted The Google and it's because the initial letters stand for Give Women Votes :) So there you go - makes perfect sense!

We managed to sell some more tickets for Journey's End and several people assured us they'd be going home to look at their diaries, meaning The Studio is filling up nicely. Just 17 days to go until Opening Night, so if you haven't got your tickets yet, hop online and make sure you don't miss out on what is going to be a quite exceptional production.

We also had a 'Guess the number of sweeties in the Three Little Pigs' game to raise a few extra pennies for the club and a sterling crowd-badgering effort in the last half hour - driven by Jane and ably backed by Maddie and Ellen - meant we sold all 88 squares. Unbelievably, it was the person who bought the very last two squares that hit upon the jackpot number!

Next stop: our Pizza, Prosecco & Pics party next Saturday evening at the sports club. Jackie's about to give numbers to Brenda, so if you haven't put your name down for it yet, email Jackie asap. Going to be a superfun night!
