Date: Tuesday 26th August
At: Menzies Hall, Fintry
Starting: 7.00pm sharp
Finishing: 8.15pm for Chorus & Dance Troupe
8.30/8.45pm for Principals
This year, we’re back to the traditional panto format and a spectacular production of Cinderella, written by our own Gavin Paterson.
It’s our intention to cast adults in the Principal roles, so you must be 18+ on 9th September to audition for one of these main speaking parts. You can download Act One with character descriptions here.
Youth members (S1-S6) are invited to audition for parts in the Chorus (involves singing and some dancing, with a few speaking roles) and a separate small Dance Troupe (specific dancing skills required).
For this audition, it would be helpful if you could familiarise yourself with the chorus of ‘Hot To Go’ – original song here (lyrics in the description).
We will be inviting a few Junior (primary school) members to participate at a later date.

Cinderella Synopsis
Prince Charming is on the hunt for a wife - a gentle, honest girl, who will love him for himself, not because he’s royal. By chance, he meets Cinderella in the woods and falls head over heels in love…but she has no idea who he is and runs off without telling him her name.
Meanwhile, Cinderella’s father, the Baron, has just returned from honeymoon with his second wife. She’s an icy piece of work and comes with extra baggage, in the form of two minging daughters. She only married him because she thought he was wealthy, but it turns out he isn’t and now she’s mad.
The love-struck Prince organises a Royal Ball and invites all the ladies in the Kingdom so he can find his Princess, while the dastardly Evil Stepmother sees her chance to get rich by marrying off one of her idiot daughters.
With Buttons and a Fairy Godmother firmly on Cinderella’s side, and the Prince’s right-hand man, Dandini, covering his back, surely our hero and heroine will triumph…?
