The FADS auditions for this year's Panto, Aladdin by Gavin Paterson, will be held on TUES 5th Sept at 7.30pm in The Menzies Hall, Fintry.
If you are not wanting to be on stage, but to be part of the huge support team, you are very welcome to join us to find out more.
This audition is NOT for primary school aged children.
There will be a separate selection process later, for a restricted junior chorus.
Tues 5th is for Secondary aged young people and adults.
We know that there may be far more people interested in on-stage performance than we have space or parts for, but that is what always happens.
HOW IT WORKS
At 7.30pm (sharp please!) we will all meet to explain more about the production.
We will collect names and contact details, then there will be a short, fun piece of choreography led by Heather Stewart to help us in selection.
Those who do not wish to read for a part are free to leave, after the dance.
A small panel, in the lesser hall, will listen to individuals read briefly.
This may take some time, but we will be as fast as we can.
You are not required to sing unless we don't know you so well.
I will attempt to contact individuals within the following two days to offer parts.
The first read-through of the whole script will be on Tues, 12th Sept at 7.30pm.
Everyone is expected to attend as it is really important to help explain the whole show, once with you all.
You can print off your auditions pages, but we hope to provide full printed copies of the script for all, later.
Rehearsals will continue according to a schedule, but are mostly on Tues and Thurs evenings. There may be some Sunday afternoons in Nov.
PERFORMANCES:
Thurs 30th Nov to Sat 2nd Dec & Thurs 7th to Sat 9th Dec.
Curtain up every evening at 7.30pm, plus a matinee each Saturday, starting at 2pm.
