Great news: we've added Neil Simon's 'Plaza Suite, Act 3' to the repertoire for this Friday and Saturday...and it won't cost you a penny more!
Here's a rundown of the three plays:
'Macbeth' (with a twist!)
See Tapsalteerie Theatre's wonderful youth cast performing their version of The Scottish Play - a 40-minute scamper through Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' as you've never seen it before...
'Losers', by Brian Friel (c. 40 mins) Our entry in the One Act Play Festival 2023, which came 3rd at the Eastern Division finals. Set in rural Ireland in the 1960s, it's a touching and humorous play about the courtship and marriage of middle-aged couple Andy and Hanna, whose intimate moments are constantly interrupted by Hanna's passive-aggressive, deeply Catholic mother. Will the relationship survive?
'Plaza Suite, Act 3' - (c. 50 mins)
It’s the day of Mimsey’s wedding and the bride has locked herself in the bathroom of in a fit of nerves. Her parents - penny-pinching Roy and hysterical Norma - are trying everything they can to get Mimsey to come out, while the guests wait downstairs, unaware of the drama unfolding in the suite. Will Mimsey come out of the bathroom and will the wedding go ahead…?
Tickets will be available on the door (provided there are still seats) but it's best to book ahead online.
The seating will be 'cafe style' and, as usual, there will be a licensed bar, snacks and teas/coffees.
Come along for a great night of drama and laughter!
